How Lumber Dealers Can Grow Pro Sales
I will be speaking to 1200 lumber dealers on March 4 at the annual LMC meeting in Las Vegas. I will be speaking on how lumber and building materials dealers can grow their sales to pros.

- The need to look beyond the product and start selling service, relationships and customer success
- How to drive pro sales through alignment with customer’s needs – know and use your assets to meet customer’s needs
- How to be the supplier who is most committed to the pro’s success
- How to beat the big boxes in your market
I will also be telling dealers to work closely with their building materials manufacturer suppliers who can help them grow their pro sales. Dealers should let their manufacturers know they want to grow their pro sales and see how they can help. It may be joint sales calls or the manufacturer may have other programs to help the dealer gain more pro business.
