Gripset is a manufacturer of waterproofing materials in Australia.  As a way to set themselves apart, they have introduced an accredited practitioner program.   I think we call this a certified installer program in the US.   They not only sound funny when they talk in Australia they also use funny terms.

This is smart in many ways.   First, it sets Gripset apart from other manufacturers of waterproofing materials.   As improper installation is the biggest cause of problems with building materials, this program gives the owner added confidence when they use Gripset.  It helps Gripset installers set themselves apart from other contractors.

And finally,  Gripset has an advantage over competitors in that they know which contractors have been trained with which products.   As they introduce new products, Gripset has a ready audience to sell them to.

You may already have a training program in place, but are not using it to differentiate yourself the way Gripset does. If you don’t have an installer training program, maybe you should.   If you do have a program, make sure you are getting recognized for your program.
