Many building materials companies fumble the ball when they introduce a new product. They frequently leave out some important information that the customer wants to know. If the customer wants to know six things, they only tell them three or four of them.
Most companies don’t introduce new products often enough to understand that it requires a different approach. They follow the format for how they promote existing products and just add the word NEW!
Huber recently introduced a new insulated sheathing product. They did a great job of providing all the information that a customer needs to know when they first learn about the product. They also make it very easy for the customer by not telling them more detail than they need initially.
