I’ve written before that a natural disaster is an opportunity for building materials companies that goes well beyond the sales of materials to rebuild.

There’s an opportunity to show who you are as a company, to learn how your products can help buildings perform better and more.

Most building materials companies don’t have a natural disaster plan.  They wake up as the event unfolds and say, “Gee we should have …….”  Now is the time to start planning for your company’s response to future natural disasters.

Home Depot is a great example of how to be smart and pre-plan for natural disasters.
